Google Play frequently rejects an app with the error message "Invalid Data Safety Form" when the information entered in the form does not match the information collected by your app or one of its integrated SDKs. Numerous SDKs automatically collect specific information for essential functions or analytics. If this information is not declared in the form, your submission will be rejected.
The fix is straightforward — just follow the steps given below for successful submission.
1. Navigate to Google Play Console.
Open your Developer Console and log in with your developer account credentials.
2. Select Your App.
Select the app that was rejected by Google Play.
3. Go to App Content.
From the left-hand menu, click on App Content.
4. Open the Data Safety Section.
Scroll down and look for Data Safety. And click on it.
5. Answer all the required questions.
Click on Manage, Google Play will ask some questions. You can use some of the following responses below – adjust as needed if your app functions differently.
If you are unsure which specific data type is causing the rejection, you can enter "Yes" for all data collection options. And submit the form. It will help you identify the exact data collection that is triggering the issue and allow you to update the declaration appropriately.
1. Find the Device or IDs section.
2. Select the Device or ID section.
Now, check the boxes to confirm that your app collects which types of data.
Click on Next.
Click on Show in the Device or ID section. You will see a Start or Edit button – Open it.
You have to answer the questions below inside the Model.
Incorrect or incomplete Data Safety declarations are one of the most common reasons for app rejection by Google Play. Including the SDKs you use is essential for successfully passing the review, ensuring your declaration matches your app’s behavior. This quick update often resolves the Invalid Data Safety form rejection instantly. Make sure that your declarations are updated whenever you add, modify, or remove SDKs.
